Renewing Our Strength

I would like to take a moment to encourage everyone who is participating in the Know Him Bible Reading Plan. To those who have been reading daily—stay the course. The time you spend in the Word of God, the five Chapters a day, is never in vain. As John 6:63 reminds us, it is the Spirit who gives life and the Words I speak to you are Spirit and Life. By consistently immersing yourself in the Scriptures, that life is actively strengthening, shaping, and deepening your walk with Jesus in ways that far exceed what you can see on the surface.

If you’ve fallen behind or felt overwhelmed, please hear this: Start again today. You don’t need to worry about catching up on everything you’ve missed. Just as you wouldn’t try to eat a week’s worth of food in one sitting if you missed a few meals, you shouldn't feel pressured to "double up" on the Word. Scripture is our daily bread, and you simply need to eat what is in front of you. Pick up right where we are today in Acts 18, 1 John 1-2, Numbers 4-5, and Psalms 51. Wherever you jump back in, the Word will renew you there; it will strengthen your spirit and awaken you to His promises.

As a church, we are in a season of purposeful waiting, built on three pillars: the Word, Prayer, and Praise & Worship.  I encourage you to draw life daily from your Bible reading, join us for prayer on Wednesdays during a Prayer Watch from 8am to 4pm or pray together with a brother or sister in the Lord. Choose to worship God even before you see the fulfillment of God’s promises. You don’t have to do these things perfectly; you simply need to continue. God is pleased with you! Continue trusting God and walking by faith.

So, grab your Bible today with the expectation that Holy Spirit will speak to you. You are His child, you know His voice, and He is leading you forward.
