Three Words That Change My Life

Three Words That Change My Life

First, I want to thank God for His Living Word. I was inside our daily reading plan – That I May Know Him, on Sunday. This is where I read, in 1 Chronicles 16, the account of David bringing the ark of God into the tabernacle that he had erected, and the appointment of the Levites to minister before the ark of the Lord. There, I saw again these three words that changed my life. If you haven’t gotten our Jubilee App, iOS click here or Android click here to download it for free. We have the bible plan in the app, and it will read each day’s reading to you.

Now the three words:

Remember – Thank – Praise

And he appointed some of the Levites to minister before the ark of the Lord, to commemorate, to thank, and to praise the Lord God of Israel. 1 Chronicles 16:4

To commemorate is to remember. The KJV uses the word, “to record”. It comes from the Hebrew word, Zakar, which means “properly, to mark (so as to be recognized), i.e. to remember,” according to Strongs Concordance.

When we forget, we cease being thankful and bright in our praise.

  • Thank the Lord right now for your salvation encountered in Jesus Christ, recounting the day you met the Lord, as the blinders were removed from your eyes.
  • Remember how impossible it was to see, and then you saw.
  • Remember the joy of His salvation.
  • Remember the freedom from condemnation and shame when you knew your sins were forgiven. Eternal life took death’s place as you turned from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God.
When we remember the Lord, for who He is, and what He has done for us, we become thankful and bright in praise, clear praise, Halal praise comes up from our mouths.

Continue and,
  • Remember your baptism in the Holy Spirit and His power that came.
  • Remember His word and the giving of the revelation of Jesus Christ.
  • Remember your deliverance from sin and entrance into His sanctification.
  • Remember the mighty acts of God and make mention that His name is exalted.
  • At each remembrance give thanks to the Lord and praise Him and see if you are not smiling before you finish this exercise.

This is what it means to minister before the Lord. These three words changes our life from our pitiful existence and miserable state that we may find ourselves in, into the glory and goodness of God, into the very life of Jesus and His love.

Three words…Remember, Thank, and Praise the Lord!
