As A Son With His Father
He served with me in the gospel.
But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you shortly, that I also may be encouraged when I know your state. For I have no one like-minded, who will sincerely care for your state. For all seek their own, not the things which are of Christ Jesus. But you know his proven character, that as a son with his father he served with me in the gospel. Philippians 2:19-22
For four decades, Brian Rogers has been my faithful son in serving with me in the gospel. As Cammy and I step into our next season with the Lord, Brian will now lead Jubilee into the things of Christ and our inheritance in Him.
Paul had no one else as like-minded as Timothy, in Christ. Maturity into Christ is through imitation of Christ and denial of self, imitated through following those whose example reflects Christ and not self. Pastor Brian has proven over and over again that His interests are the things which are of Christ and not himself. He sincerely cares for you all.
Through my walk with God, He has shown me many things of His ways in Christ. I have endeavored to abide, live, and teach these ways. Like Joshua was to Moses, Brian is, and always has been, to me. And God has called him forward for such a time as this. I whole-heartedly believe and affirm he will lead every follower into their inheritance in Christ.
For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus, I have begotten you through the gospel. Therefore, I urge you, imitate me. For this reason, I have sent Timothy to you, who is my beloved and faithful son in the Lord, who will remind you of my ways in Christ, as I teach everywhere in every church. 1 Corinthians 4:15-17
It is with great joy that Cammy and I step into our Sabbatical knowing that Jubilee is filled with sincere like-minded believers who love the things of Christ. We see multiplication of all the seeds sown, we see everyone entering into their inheritance as one body with the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ and love for one another.
