Be Anxious for Nothing
In every decision we face, it is so easy to find ourselves trying to rush ahead to the outcome before God makes the timing and the direction clear. We place our own thoughts into the equation and want so badly to see the completion of things, but God reminds us in Isaiah 55:8-9 that His thoughts are higher than ours and His ways are better than anything we could plan.
When anxious thoughts start to creep in, I pray that we can stop and find rest in Him. Remember the promise in Philippians 4:6-7, to 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Today, let’s choose to lay down our own expectations, lean not on our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6), and simply trust Him to direct our paths. God is so good and so faithful, and you are in His safe hands.
A thought to walk with: “Prayer isn't about bending God's will to match our timeline; it's about aligning our hearts to His peace.”
