Complete in Christ
In a day of instant information and a culture of "now," it is easy to get pulled into the immediate and fail to wait on God to speak. Information is easy to find and literally at your fingertips.
In Colossians 2, Paul encourages believers to walk with their hearts (the inner man) being strengthened and fortified in the love of God. He urges them to be fully convinced of their position in Christ, noting that all knowledge, wisdom, and understanding are found in Him. We are not to be spoiled by worldly knowledge; instead, this divine wisdom, knowledge, and understanding are compared to riches and treasures.
Our walk in Christ is to be rooted and stable, like a tree with deep roots, being built up and established in faith and thanksgiving. Those in Christ are not to be seduced or led by earthly wisdom, and the traditions of men, that follow a carnal mindset.
James 3:14-17: "But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there."
We need to remember, and rely on the fact, that we are in Christ, and the fullness of the Godhead makes us complete (Colossians 2:9). From where we set our minds is from where we will receive.
So, set your mind on trusting the Lord; lean not on your own understanding or worldly perspectives. Acknowledge Him on the path you are currently on, and He will direct you.
